2025–2026 Student Dress Code Update

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

At the School Board Meeting on September 15, 2025, the BISD Board of Trustees approved the updated 2025–2026 Student Dress Code.

Please note that the Board made specific changes regarding leggings for grades 5–12:

Tights, leggings/jeggings, and yoga-style clothing will only be allowed if they are dark-colored (examples: black, navy, or dark/hunter green). Light-colored leggings such as baby blue, pink, yellow, or white are not allowed.

Students must wear a skirt, shirt, or dress that is at least fist-length when wearing these items.

As a reminder, any student who not aligned with the dress code will be given the opportunity to correct the infraction. If unable to do so, they will be placed in ISS (In-School Suspension) for the remainder of the day.
