Teacher Appreciation Week
May 6-13th
Thank you to all parents who provided food for the wonderful lunches and breakfast. Teachers were treated to a delicious fajita luncheon Monday, May 13th.
Maile Hopkins was recently awarded first prize in the Boyd Education Foundation contest. She will read the essay May 3rd at 7:00 in the Boyd High School Cafetorium. Presentations will also be made for grants to some of our outstanding teachers. Please make plans to attend.
Having FUN! Students are using iPads for a research project in Mrs. Taylor's fourth grade class. Beginning this fall iPads will be used by each student as an educational tool to be used at school and home.
Jennifer Nichols sharing with our 6th Grade students the importance of saving money. She also explained what a "budget" is and how to get started. Each student received a new $1.00 bill.

Hadley Miller Competes in the MBR Finals in Las Vegas, NV

Boyd’s own Hadley Miller, a sixth grader at Boyd Intermediate School, competed in the MBR Finals in Las Vegas Oct. 24th-26th. He was among 12 junior bull riders across the United States that qualified for the finals. Hadley placed 4th in the finals and 3rd overall. His winnings for this competition were money and a belt buckle. Congratulations, Hadley! We are proud of you!
