The Boyd Education Foundation held it's first annual Sweet Rewards Program (see above) on May 3rd. During the evening Trent Tate's award winning video was presented, and Maile Hopkins read her first place essay. An outstanding art show was displayed by Boyd's high school and middle school art departments. Boyd's own Linda Parker was the evening's keynote speaker, followed by recognition of some of the foundation's founding donors. The evening culminated with six grants awarded by the foundation to some of Boyd ISD's outstanding teachers . Grant recipients were Nelda Cope, Scott Rawlings, Mario Rondon, Lydia Carter, Robin Nobles, and Boyd High School's English Department: Amy Wilson, Lisa Warren, Gail Smith, Melissa Allsup and Tonya Flowers.
